Drake's blueView Web portal launched Monday, Jan. 29.

Drake University Law School announced Monday the appointment of former Iowa Gov. and current Democratic presidential candidate Tom Vilsack as visiting distinguished professor of law for the 2007 calendar year.

Drake Law School will dedicate the transfer of NBA archives from the Des Moines Public Library to the Opperman Law Library with a program and dedication starting at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Mary L. Dudziak, the Judge Edward J. and Ruey L. Guirado professor of law, history and political science at the University of California Law School, will give a lecture titled "Exporting American Dreams: Thurgood Marshall's African Journey" on Monday, Jan. 29.

"Cuba: Women Artists in the Revolution," featuring rare works by major Cuban artists, opens Friday, Jan. 26 for the first time in the Midwest.
