The entire Drake University community was profoundly shocked and saddened to learn of the horrific tragedy at Northern Illinois University.

Adam Emmenecker and Leonard Houston scored four points apiece to trigger a 13-2 scoring spree late in the game, enabling 14th ranked Drake to beat Northern Iowa, 65-55, while winning its first Missouri Valley Conference title since 1971.

Drake's spring International Film Series will begin with a screening of "The Lives of Others," a German film with English subtitles, at 2 p.m. in room 101 of Meredith Hall.
