Dr. June Johnson, chair of the clinical sciences department in the Drake University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, was recently inducted as a 2011 Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).

The purpose of the "U.S.-Japan Network for the Future" program, which launched in 2009, is to identify American professionals who demonstrate an interest in and potential for becoming Japan specialists and policy intellectuals and to support them in this effort.

The award highlighted Dr. Rosburg's outstanding work in Drake University's biology department. He was one of four award recipients at the Sierra Club's annual dinner.

Metro Women's Network will honor Dr. Aimee Beckmann-Collier, professor of conducting and director of choral music, as their Woman of the Year for her outstanding achievements in music education and community involvement.

Three members of the Drake University staff were presented with Madelyn M. Levitt Awards on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the annual Fall Faculty and Staff Convocation in Sheslow Auditorium in Old Main.

The project was awarded with support from The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Huey worked with Drake's Sponsored Programs Administration to secure the grant.

Peter Yu, the Kern Family chair in intellectual property law, will discuss licensing strategies for North American companies conducting business with China.

Matthew Doré serves as the Richard M. and Anita Calkins distinguished professor of law at Drake University.

The task force will conduct a role delineation study in critical care to determine whether the area is based upon specialized knowledge of the pharmaceutical sciences, as well as functions routinely performed by practitioners in these proposed specialties.
