Although the Drake Relays broadcast isn't an official class offered at Drake, students are using the opportunity to put their knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to use. And that's exactly what Drake Broadcasting System has been doing for 20 years now with this year's broadcast marking the 20th anniversary of the student-run production.

Sally Beisser, associate professor of education, has been selected to participate in this summer's Oxford Round Table in Oxford, England.

Ralph Oman, former register of copyrights, will headline Drake Intellectual Property Law Center's first Distinguished Lecture in Copyright Law Tuesday, April 22.

Under Drake Head Men's Basketball Coach Keno Davis' guidance, Drake won both the Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship and, for the first time, the MVC tournament crown. The Bulldogs also advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1971.

Drake students recently participated in Drake's Next Top Entrepreneur Competition, a challenge allowing them the opportunity to showcase their creativity skills and health-care related innovations.

New certificate programs in Business Management and Health Leadership and Management are being offered to the general public for the first time this spring.

Drake University community and friends will gather to celebrate the research of 100 students and faculty members at the annual Drake University Conference on Undergraduate Research in the Sciences on Thursday, April 17.
