City University of New York professor Grace M. Cho will continue the United States and the World lecture series.

Jennifer Wohlenhaus will perform works composers including, William P. Dougherty, Oscar Haugland, Elaine Erickson and Jeffrey Agrell.

Drake students will devote a day to focus on "Taking the Lead in Preventing Disease" and public health expert Mary Mincer Hansen will give the keynote address.

International law and foreign policy expert Damon Terrill will deliver a talk titled "Restoring the Rule of Law to U.S. National Security and Foreign Policy."

Drake's Black History Month celebration will culminate with a day featuring soul food provided by students from the Coalition of Black Students.

Joan Lamm-Tennant, global chief economist and risk strategist for Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, will present the first lecture, titled "Enterprise Risk Management and the Current Financial Crisis."

Phoebe Haddon will deliver the Constitutional Law Distinguished Lecture at 3 p.m.

Students will explore preventing disease through mini discussions and a keynote address by public health expert Mary Mincer Hansen, associate professor at Des Moines University.

Orders for Singing Valentines will be accepted through noon today.

The awards competition, sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, drew nearly 1,000 entries this year.
