Drake law alumni events in Milwaukee, Dallas
Drake Law School alumni can network with each other and Dean David Walker at the following upcoming events. A law alumni luncheon in Milwaukee will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, at Bacchus, 925 East Wells Street, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Pharmacy grad awarded first Karbeling Leadership Award
The Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CPHS) recently named Anthony Pudlo, PH'07, as the first recipient of the Karbeling Memorial Leadership Award for his leadership and outstanding contributions to Drake and the pharmacy practice.

A new Health Sciences major in Drake's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is proving to be more popular than expected with 50 students enrolled in the 2007-08 academic year.

Mr. Drake celebrates his 90th birthday at Homecoming
Paul F. Morrison, who watched Jesse Owens compete in the Drake relays in 1935, witnessed Heisman Trophy candidate Johnny Bright get taken out by a brutal, racist hit in 1951, and last year traveled from Florida to Alaska to take in a football game and then a basketball game (along with a dog sled ride), was honored during Homecoming activities this past weekend.

August wins Alumni of the Year award; speaks on digital age
Before Drake University alumnus and screenwriter John August stepped onto his platform on "The Challenge of Writing in a Digital Age," he was awarded the 2007 Alumni of the Year Award from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Thursday, Oct. 5.
Have a blast at a Bulldog Bash
The Drake Alumni Office is seeking alumni worldwide to help organize annual Bulldog Bashes in their cities. These parties, typically held at pubs and restaurants in May and June, are fun, informal ways for Bulldogs to gather and get to know fellow alumni in their area.
Drake journalism students gain state-of-the-art media lab
Drake University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) offers more than just the journalism basics -- writing, editing and reporting. On Oct. 5, SJMC unveiled the Kragie Newell Interactive Media Lab that will rocket students right into the new multimedia world.
