World peace promoter Harriet Mayor Fulbright discussed global issues with Drake students over lunch Wed., Jan. 31, in Olmsted Center, and gave an open lecture in Sheslow Auditorium later that evening.

The Annual School of Education’s Alumni Awards and Senior Recognition Dinner, to be held Thursday, March 8, pays tribute to three dedicated educators who reach beyond the classroom to benefit the community.

“DRAKELINE WEEKLY” returns to Des Moines-area cable viewers of The College Channel 16 for a 12-program season that launched Thursday, Feb. 1.

On March 2-3, Drake will toast its women’s basketball alumni, with particular honors to the 1981-82 team that advanced to the Elite 8.

Drake was named the Sweepstakes Winner runner-up at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VI annual conference in Kansas City, Jan. 21-23.

The Drake National Alumni Association will honor five alumni for their accomplishments and contributions to Drake and society at the Annual Alumni Awards Dinner on Saturday, May 12, in Parents Hall, Olmsted Center.

Drake Athletics will recognize four outstanding alumni with the Drake Double D Award Saturday, Feb. 17, at a dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Hotel Savery in Des Moines.

Drake Singing Valentines will profess your love a capella-style by delivering a song and flowers to your beloved’s workplace or home on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
