Drake University Law School Advances to National Moot Court Competition
Not one but two Drake Law National Moot Court teams rose to the top of their recent regional competition to compete against each other in the final round. Both teams demonstrated their hard work and excellence in written and oral advocacy but only one could win and move on to compete in the National competition in New York City early next year. The Drake Law team of Elizabeth Boyer, Ben Wolf, and Catherine Dukelow narrowly beat the second Drake team of Steffi Lee Dwyer, Caleb Piersma, and NaRayah Runyon in the finals to advance to Nationals. Drake University commencement ceremony set for Saturday in the Knapp Center
Drake University will hold its 153rd commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. in the Knapp Center, located at 2525 Forest Avenue in Des Moines. The University will confer more than 300 degrees during the ceremony. Nicole Hunter, who is receiving her master’s degree in culturally responsive leadership and instruction from Drake’s School of Education, will deliver the student remarks. At 1:00 p.m., ITS became aware of an issue with ProcessMaker. As a result of this issue, users are unable to manually start new requests. This affects processes like Banner Security, Athletics Financial Aid Agreement, Vendor Information Update, and Community Service Leave Requests. This issue does not affect automatically generated processes like Preferred Name Changes or trigger based notifications. ITS is working with the vendor to fix this issue and will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.
