CPHS Announces Bill Burke Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship and Inaugural Burke Scholar 

Drake University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (CPHS) is pleased to announce the creation of the Bill Burke Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship. Established in 2022 by Main at Locust Pharmacy, the Bill Burke Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship benefits third- or fourth-year Drake student pharmacists with financial need.  Third-year student pharmacist Abigail Stumpner is the inaugural Burke Scholar and will receive the scholarship during the 2023-24 academic year. Michaela Schick, a third-year student pharmacist, was awarded the inaugural Roger W. Lee Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. This scholarship recognizes first-generation pharmacists who are pursuing their PharmD within Drake University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CPHS). Originally from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Schick was drawn to the pharmacy profession because of a desire to help others and the opportunity to positively impact people’s health and well-being.
