DrakeLINE Newscast Closes Its 15th Season
Twenty-three Electronic Media seniors executed the last of 12 successful capstone newscasts May 9. Students began producing DrakeLINE during alternate Spring Semesters in 1993. More recently the activity has occurred each Spring.

Students Win First-Place IBNA Awards

DrakeLINE 2012 Premieres
The Electronic Media capstone has produced its first of 12 newscasts this semester. Begun in 1993, the Spring Semester offering primarily involves seniors in Radio-Television Producing and Broadcast News, but students in other classes contribute content and other skills.
DrakeLine and “Beyond the Blue Line” nominated for Emmys
Two television programs created by Drake students have been nominated for 2011 Student Television Awards for Excellence (Regional Emmys) by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Upper Midwest Chapter.
