The Drake Alumni Office is seeking alumni worldwide to help organize annual Bulldog Bashes in their cities. These parties, typically held at pubs and restaurants in May and June, are fun, informal ways for Bulldogs to gather and get to know fellow alumni in their area.
Mr. Drake celebrates his 90th birthday at Homecoming
Paul F. Morrison, who watched Jesse Owens compete in the Drake relays in 1935, witnessed Heisman Trophy candidate Johnny Bright get taken out by a brutal, racist hit in 1951, and last year traveled from Florida to Alaska to take in a football game and then a basketball game (along with a dog sled ride), was honored during Homecoming activities this past weekend.

National Adoption Month will culminate by uniting dozens of children with new families at the seventh annual Adoption Saturday, to be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Polk County Courthouse, 500 Mulberry St.
