Men’s tennis team falls to No. 21 Michigan in NCAA Championships
One of the most memorable campaigns in Drake men's tennis history ended May 11 with a 4-0 loss to No. 21 Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Championships at the Atkins Tennis Center in Urbana, Ill.
Outgoing student body president nets Fulbright Scholarship
Lauren Smith, who just completed her term as Drake student body president for 2006-07, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to fund a 13-month English teaching assistantship in South Korea.

Drake's College of Arts and Sciences recently celebrated the retirement of three long-time faculty members -- Dean Hoganson and Rodney Rogers, both Drake graduates and professors of biology, and Jon Torgerson, professor of philosophy and religion. Each worked at Drake for more than 30 years and was highly respected by students and colleagues.
Pharmacy College seeks sponsors for white coat ceremony
Drake's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences recently introduced what it is hoped will become a tradition with pharmacy alumni and students entering their first year of the professional program after completing two years of pre-pharmacy studies. Selected alumni and graduating pharmacy students have been invited to sponsor a white coat for an incoming P1 student.

Drake alum wins international pharmacy award
Todd A. Lee, a 1997 graduate of Drake's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, has been named the 2007 recipient of the Bernie J. O'Brien New Investigator Award from the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR).

Drake has awarded its highest mentorship award, the 2007 Madelyn M. Levitt Mentor of the Year Award, to Lon Larson, PH'71, the Ellis and Nelle Levitt professor of pharmacy administration. Larson also received the award in 1997, making him the only faculty member to have received the award twice.
