Drake Law School was ranked sixth out of 13 private schools, which were among 52 public universities, in September issue's value ranking.

Debra K. Lukehart, assistant vice president of communication and marketing at Augustana College, will join the University on Oct. 1.

Drake will host three authors to present a talk on their most recent book, "Teaching Hope: Stories from the Freedom Writer Teachers."

The series will begin with a presentation titled, "The Eyes Have It," which will discuss the use of observational astronomy to predict future events.

The Student Professional Travel Fund will help support students attending seminars, professional meetings and other national scholarship events.

Peiquin Zhou, a visiting Fulbright Scholar at Drake, will speak about attempts in China to resist filtering software on computers.

Ian Weller and his father were commissioned to photograph the Milky Way at the lighthouse on Outer Island in Lake Superior.

Students will have the opportunity to experience three programs that were developed by business faculty members to help carry out the college's strategic plan.

They will participate in the Right to Literacy Forum as part of the observance of International Literacy Day.
