As students, faculty, and staff return for the fall semester, we want to remind the campus community about a known issue related to a recent HP BIOS update that may affect some Drake-managed Windows computers.

What you may see:
• A blue screen with no text after restarting
• A screen requesting a BitLocker recovery key

While this may look concerning, your device is not damaged and no data has been lost. ITS can help resolve the issue.

What to do: If you experience either of these symptoms, please contact ITS for assistance by submitting a Computer/Peripheral/Software Issue ticket, calling 515-271-3001, or visiting the lower level of Carnegie Hall with your device. An ITS technician will work with you to restore normal access to your computer.
