Q: Why did you choose to attend Drake?
A: I chose Drake because of the Law, Politics, and Society major—it was a program I really didn’t see anywhere else. And the faculty was absolutely amazing when I first came. Those two things together made the decision easy.
Q: What is your favorite campus memory?
A: My favorite Drake memory is Painted Street—being able to see all the student organizations painting their squares and working together. Arts and crafts are my favorite, so it was just such a special experience to see the whole campus come alive like that.
Q: How has Drake helped you prepare for your future career?
A: Drake has definitely challenged me in so many ways academically. It has prepared me for all of the challenges that come with higher education, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that. The rigor and the support I found here have given me the confidence to take on whatever comes next.
Q: What is next for you after you graduate?
A: After graduation, I will be pursuing a Master’s in Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. I’m really excited to take everything Drake has given me and build on it at the next level.
Q: What advice would you give a first-year incoming student?
A: For a first-year incoming student, I would say don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Make new memories, make new friends, and just have an amazing time. No matter what, it will always work out well.
