Q: Why did you choose to attend Drake?
A: I chose Drake because of the incredible community here. My sister is a Drake graduate and watching her have such a wonderful experience made me want to be a part of it, too. Knowing how much she loved it made my decision feel entirely right.
Q: What is your favorite campus memory?
A: My favorite memory is simply getting to know the campus during my first year. Those first few weeks are so special—everything feels new and exciting, and you’re just soaking it all in. That time of discovery is something I will always look back on fondly.
Q: How has Drake helped you prepare for your future career?
A: Within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, we have an exceptional internship program. I had so many fantastic mentors and peers throughout that experience. It was a rewarding process that gave me real-world skills and professional connections I know I will carry with me throughout my career.
Q: What is next for you after you graduate?
A: I will be a Drake student again—I am staying right here at Drake University to pursue my Master’s in Business Analytics. I’m not ready to leave just yet, and I’m so excited for this next chapter.
Q: What advice would you give a first-year incoming student? A: Drake truly is here to help you. Find your community, ask for help, and know that you are never alone here. It can feel scary at first, but the support system at Drake is incredible—lean into it.
