SJMC Earns ACEJMC Accreditation (again)!

The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC) approved SJMC’s re-accreditation, passing the SJMC on all eight standards. Their report cited our “extraordinarily engaged student body” and “seemingly limitless professional opportunities for students within proximity of the school’s capitol city location, supported by faculty networks and a thriving alumni network.”

The SJMC has been continuously accredited since 1972. There are only 119 schools who have earned and maintain accreditation, which includes a comprehensive self-study report and an on-campus site team visit held every six years.

Please stop by and grab celebratory snacks in the breezeway outside of MER 106 from Noon to 2 p.m. Congratulations to all SJMC faculty, staff, students and alumni!
