T-D hosting workshop

The Times-Delphic is hosting a workshop, for the first time in two years, on Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. Presenters include Des Moines Register writer Tim Webber and Professor Amy McCoy. The TD will also conduct an interactive interview exercise with attendees.

For anyone interested in multimedia journalism this is the workshop for you! All are welcome to join us, and no prior journalism experience is necessary. There will be food.

Sussman Leadership Conference

The Sussman Leadership Conference is an annual event that brings together Drake student leaders from all across campus to explore and gain skills in a particular leadership topic and theme. This year’s conference, “One Better World,” will explore how your relationships, identity, and experiences influence your leadership style.

Conference registration is free for students (valued at $75 per seat!) including a gourmet brunch, nationally-renowned keynote speaker, and interactive workshop session. This conference gives Drake University student leaders a chance to gain leadership skills immediately useful to their academic, personal, and professional lives. Apply for video/photo scholarships

The James Alan Cox Foundation will award five $2,500 scholarships to college or technical school students, payable to their school. Four awards will be for video work while one will be for still photography.
