Over the weekend, Microsoft resolved the issue with applications uninstalling on computers. Users should now begin to regain functionality of their shortcuts and applications. Using code provided by Microsoft, ITS worked to restore standard campus applications including the following:

  • Zoom
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Adobe Suite Products
  • Google Chrome
  • Outlook

Users should begin to see more shortcuts automatically restored and accessible via the start menu throughout the day as updates are applied. Please refer to Creating Shortcuts on Windows Computers (How-To) to create additional shortcuts for applications not impacted by the update. If you have already completed these steps, no further action is required.
