Professor to give lecture on Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

On Thursday, April 28, Ian Bartrum, assistant professor of law at Drake University Law School, will address "The Constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act." The event, which is free and open to the public, will start at 4:30 p.m. in room 213 of Cartwright Hall, 27th Street and University Avenue.

Drake Law hosts Supreme Court Celebration

Drake Law School hosted the Iowa Supreme Court as justices heard oral arguments in two cases as part of the Law School’s 74th Annual Supreme Court Celebration. The celebration is held annually to help law students become more familiar with appellate court procedure and arguments, and to honor the Iowa Supreme Court for its commitment to justice and legal education. 2011 Intellectual Property Scholars Roundtable

The Drake Intellectual Property Law Center is proud to present the 2011 Intellectual Property Scholars Roundtable which will be held April 1-2 from 9am to 6p.m. at the Drake Legal Clinic. This roundtable brings together intellectual property and technology law scholars from around the world to present their works-in-progress. This interdisciplinary roundtable provides academics with a forum for sharing their latest research and an opportunity for peer networking.

Drake University Law School hosts visiting professor Liao Zhigang

Drake University Law School is hosting visiting professor Liao Zhigang who will be delivering a lecture on "New Developments in Intellectual Property Law in China", April, 4 at 4:00 p.m. in Cartwright Hall Room 203. The lecture will give an overview of the Patent Law, Copyright Law and Trademark Law in the People’s Republic of China, and examine amendments to these laws and other regulations.
