Becky Eaton, a Drake University graduate, has blended her interests in food and fitness and an entrepreneurial spirit to launch a health-conscious business. "Becky's Healthy Kitchen" in Indianapolis includes hands-on cooking classes and small-group fitness classes.

Dennis Goldford, political science professor at Drake University, appeared on Iowa Public Radio's "The Exchange" to discuss the political implications of a withdrawal from Afghanistan.

"Residential property owners traditionally have been given a tax break because government wants to encourage individual homeownership," he said. "If a nursing-home chain owns dozens of homes that serve thousands of people, that may not fit the intent of the residential rollback."

The Drake University men's basketball program has added Stan Johnson as another assistant coach. Head coach Mark Phelps said Monday that Johnson will join the staff after three years at the University of Utah.
