Alisa Drapeaux, assistant professor of health sciences, has been named the assistant dean of enrollment management for Drake University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, effective Sept. 1, 2023.
Drapeaux joined Drake University in 2018 and has served the Health Sciences program as the senior internship program director, interim vice chair, and faculty recruitment lead. Drapeaux is also the pre-med committee co-chair for the University. Within these leadership roles, Drapeaux has implemented effective strategies for improving the health sciences program and student experience. She has also developed a passion for external collaborations and educating prospective students about Drake University.
Drapeaux has been an orthopedic physical therapist in Iowa for 18 years. Prior to joining Drake University, Drapeaux was a multi-site manager at an orthopedics private practice, and she was heavily involved in marketing to local clinics and hospitals, promoting clinic specialties, garnering new referrals, and building professional relationships with healthcare providers. Drapeaux positively impacted the clinic’s practice growth through communication, leadership, and education.
As the assistant dean of enrollment management, Drapeaux will lead a team of staff members dedicated to recruitment, admissions, and enrollment for programs in the CPHS.
“In my new role as assistant dean of enrollment services, I am incredibly excited to collaborate with a strong team and foster growth in all our CPHS programs,” said Drapeaux. “Our passion, engagement, and vision for future growth will focus on building partnerships, enhancing social media presence, early engagement with prospective students, and developing faculty recruitment leaders.”
