While the Meredith building is undergoing renovation, many classes have been relocated to other buildings resulting in a significantly higher demand for wireless connections in those spaces. The network in those locations has been pushed to capacity during busy class times, particularly in Harvey Ingham.
Earlier this week, ITS completed installing additional wireless access points in the basement and first floor areas of Harvey Ingham to increase the building’s wireless capacity. Over the next week, ITS and Facilities will install additional equipment in the lecture halls to further improve connectivity in those large spaces. Capacity has also been expanded in some areas of the Fine Arts Center and Cline Hall.
Thank you for your patience as we work to return wireless access in these locations to a consistent level. We’ve heard student and faculty comments and fully acknowledge your frustrations. If you have additional questions or concerns, contact the ITS Support Center at service.drake.edu/its or 515-271-3001.
