The Drake Choir and Chamber Choir will sing a pre-international tour concert on Tuesday, May 21, at 4 p.m.
Please note that the venue has changed to St. Ambrose Cathedral, 607 High Street, in downtown Des Moines.
An ice cream social, hosted by Drake President Marty Martin, will follow the concert.
The performance, conducted by Aimee Beckmann-Collier, will feature music the choirs will perform during their tour of Italy, France, and Austria from May 22–June 6. Admission is free and open to the public.
While on tour, the choirs will sing in Rome, Assisi, Florence, Nice, Cannes, Salzburg, and Vienna, and will perform in a number of major venues including the Musikverein (Vienna), St. Peter’s Basilica (Rome), and the Basilica of St. Francis (Assisi).
