57 educational leaders from around the state of Iowa were in attendance at the inaugural meeting of the Drake Continual Improvement Network, held on Wednesday, September 21 on-campus at Drake University’s Olmsted Center.
Dean Jan McMahill offered a heartwarming welcome to members of the network, followed by an informative keynote by Dr. Patricia Greco, superintendent of the School District of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, focused on the art and science of results-based school improvement.
The purpose of the Drake Continual Improvement Network is to bring educators together for the purpose of learning in community about continual improvement. Our vision is to transform education in Iowa in order to restore joy in learning, teaching, and leading in our schools. Our mission is to “get better at getting better.”
The Network’s next meeting is Wednesday, November 16, with scheduled guest speaker David Langford, President of Langford Learning International and superintendent of Ingenium Schools. For more information about this network, or to attend, follow this link.
