Counseling Professor Earns Community Service Award

counprof_mbMatt Bruinekool, Assistant Professor of Counseling Education, was presented with the Madelyn Levitt Distinguished Community Service Award on May 7 at the Faculty and Staff Recognition Reception.  Dr. Bruinekool is the first faculty member of the School of Education to receive this award.

Recipients of this award are chosen on the following criteria: demonstrated personal commitment to volunteerism and community service; an outstanding record of leadership or substantial involvement in community projects; services and activities contributing to the quality of life in our region, state, and/or the nation; professional and personal values and behavior that typify the ideals of “giving back to other” and “making a different in the lives of others.”
