Mahmoud Hamad, assistant professor of politics, recently gave an extended interview to Alhurra, a United States-based Arabic-language television network that broadcasts news and current affairs programming to audiences in the Middle East and North Africa. Hamad discussed the developing relations between Egypt and Qatar, and the role of the United States and ISIS in those relations, during the Dec. 23 broadcast.
A recording of the program is available at this link. Hamad first appears about 10 minutes into the broadcast.
Alhurra is part of the Middle East Broadcast Networks, Inc., which is financed by the U.S. government through a grant from the Broadcasting Board of Governors, an independent federal agency. Alhurra reaches 20 million viewers each week, according to the network’s website.
