In the fall 2013, the School of Education will welcome Dr. Trent Grundmeyer as an Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership department. Trent has experience teaching at the elementary and middle school levels and is currently serving as a high school principal for the last seven years.
He was honored in 2006 with the Iowa Administrator of Character award presented by the Character Counts! Coalition of Iowa. He recently completed his Ph.D at Iowa State by researching the perceptions of first year college students regarding technology and college readiness. He has also published an educational book about inspiring and motivating teachers as school leaders.
His areas of interest in education are school reform, technology integration school law, teacher evaluation processes, and professional collaboration.
