Lyons named to judgeship, will leave state's attorney's office
Kevin Lyons, who received his law degree from Drake University in 1981, was named an interim judge for the Illinois Supreme Court. Lyons has been state's attorney in Peoria County since 1988 and is one of the longest serving chief prosecutors in Illinois.

Carlisle High School retired the softball jersey of Jordan Gronewold, a current Drake student and third base player and pitcher on the University's softball team. She is the second best pitcher in Carlisle softball history with a career record of 140-22.
