Acclaimed poet to give talk on writing and gender

News PhotoPoet Stacey Waite will read selections from her most recent book “the lake has no saint” as part of Drake’s Writers and Critics Series on Wednesday, November 3.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Cowles Library Reading Room, 2725 University Ave.

Waite, who won the 2004 Frank O’Hara Prize for Poetry, has had poems published in Poet Lore, Nimrod, 5AM, West Branch, Chiron Review and Pearl. She teaches writing and gender studies courses at the University of Pittsburgh and is the author of three chapbooks.
