The students were accompanied by Neil Hamilton, professor of law and director of Drake’s Agricultural Law Center and about a dozen Drake alumni.

While there, the group met with United States Secretary of Agriculture and former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack, who served as a keynote speaker during a luncheon.

“The opportunity for our students to attend the conference and talk to agricultural lawyers from across the nation makes a wonderful addition to their education,” he added. “Being able to meet our Secretary of Agriculture was extra frosting on the cake.”
