Drake Wind Symphony to present ‘Made in America’

Drake University’s Wind Symphony, conducted by Robert
Meunier, will perform works by American composers in its program, “Made in
America,” at 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 22 on the Jordan Stage in Sheslow
Auditorium, 2507 University Ave. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature music by composers Aaron Copland,
Frank Techili, John Philip Sousa and Morton Guild. Students Justin Brookens,
trumpet, and Molly Scott, English horn, will perform Copland’s “Quiet
City” and “An Outdoor Overture.”
