Eat, drink and be merry with fellow Chicago alumni Dec. 8

Chicago-area alumni will enjoy “Cuisine, Comedy and Camaraderie” as Drake’s annual Windy City signature event on Saturday, Dec. 8. Special guests include Drake President David Maxwell and Madeleine Maxwell; Charlie Edwards, dean of the College of Business and Public Administration and School of Journalism and Mass Communication; Raylene Rospond, dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences; and Stuart Klugman, BN’70, professor of actuarial science.

The evening will begin with dinner at Socca, 3301 N. Clark St., at 5:30 p.m., with head chef and former Drake student Roger Herring, followed by a Drake-exclusive performance at Comedy Sportz at 8 p.m., featuring Tim Ryder, JO’05. Due to construction issues, the Comedy Sportz venue has been changed to the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts, 777 N. Green St., one block west of Halsted off Chicago Avenue. Guests who attend both the dinner and the comedy show will receive free charter bus transportation from Socca to the show and back following the performance. Valet parking is available both at Socca and the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts.

Cost per person is $60 for dinner only and $25 per person for the show only; for both dinner and the show, the cost is $75 per person.
