SOE Science Faculty Member Co-Chairs Conference

The Association for Science Teacher Education 2017 International Meeting brought approximately 500 science teacher educators from across the nation and world to Des Moines for ASTE 2017.  Associate Professor of Science Education, Jerrid Kruse co-chaired the event.

The Association for Science Teacher Education (ASTE) held its 2017 International Conference January 12 through 14 in Des Moines.  ASTE is a non-profit professional organization composed of over 800 members from around the world.  The goal of this organization is to support excellence in science teacher education through innovation and scholarship.

The annual conference is held in January each year and is dedicated to supporting individuals interested in STEM teacher education.  This venue provides an opportunity for professional growth and development of members and non-members alike.  Attendees could network, present and attend workshops aimed at informing their work and improving the preparation of science teachers.  For more information about this year’s conference, follow the link.
