Bobbie Gottschalk, the executive vice president of Seeds of Peace, will speak at Drake University at 7 p.m., Friday, March 31 at Bulldog Theater in the lower level of Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave.

Seeds of Peace is dedicated to empowering young leaders from regions of conflict with the leadership skills required to advance reconciliation and coexistence.

The organization was founded in 1993 by a group of teen-agers from Israel, Palestine and Egypt seeking to understand their differences and build a more peaceful world.

Since then, Seeds of Peace has expanded programming to include young people from South Asia, Cyprus and the Balkans. The group’s leadership network encompasses more than 2,500 young people from four conflict regions.

The talk, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Drake Center for Global Citizenship. For more information about Seeds of Peace, vist http://www.seedsofpeace.org/.
