Drake LL.M. student publishes article on WikiLeaks
“The Fifth Estate” opened in theaters Friday, Oct. 18 featuring one of this century’s most sensitive topics: WikiLeaks. For Drake Law alumnus Nawi Ukabiala, LW’11, the timing is perfect. An article he wrote at Drake on the same topic was recently published in the Federal Courts Law Review, Oct. 2013.
Drake to host 20th annual Halloween Hoops
On Monday, Oct. 28, Drake University will host its 20th annual Halloween Hoops Party for Des Moines area children ages 3–11. The event will be held in the Bell Center on the Drake University campus at 1421 27th Street from 6–8 p.m.

Drake 3L Sasha Mayo spent her last summer of law school interning at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in downtown Brooklyn, NY. Her assignment was in the Domestic Violence Bureau working with the Misdemeanor Assistant District Attorney and the Felony Assistant District Attorney.

Kende, Foxhoven participate in Constitution Day activities
Professors Mark Kende and Jerry Foxhoven each served as a panelist for Constitution Day activities. Kende participated at Iowa State as a panelist for "Genes, Race, Free Speech, Same-Sex Marriage and the U.S. Supreme Court." Foxhoven was a panelist for a webinar sponsored by the Iowa State Bar Association (ISBA) and the Iowa Department of Education. The webinar was titled, "The Constitution – The Words We Live By."
Richard H. Pildes to present 2013 Constitution Day Lecture
