Dean McMahill is offering up to 10 scholarships to current Drake School of Education students who have an interest in attending IACON 2012, Iowa’s premier distance learning conference. This year’s conference will be held at Adventureland Inn in Altoona on April 13. This conference is jointly sponsored by the Iowa Distance Learning Association (IDLA) and the Iowa Association for Communication Technology (IACT).
The theme of this year’s conference is “Education & Technology: Innovation in the Fast Lane.†Staying up-to-speed with the rapidly changing instructional technology and communications advancements is critical to the effective development of instruction, training and learning opportunities. IACON brings together leaders with a broad range of specialties to provide a strategic overview of the distance learning landscape as well as a more tactical focus on individual hot spots within the emerging technology arena.
