Q: Why did you choose to attend Drake?

A: I chose Drake because the minute I stepped on campus, it felt right. Then, after meeting Griff II, it truly felt like home. That was it for me.

Q: What is your favorite campus memory?

A: My favorite Drake memory was studying abroad in Spain for a semester. It was an incredible experience—I met so many new people, immersed myself in a new language and culture, and it was the absolute highlight of my four years. I feel incredibly lucky to have had that opportunity.

Q: How has Drake helped you prepare for your future career?

A: Drake has prepared me for my career by offering courses directly relevant to the field I want to enter. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to lend a hand. That combination of relevant coursework and genuinely supportive faculty made all the difference for me.

Q: What is next for you after you graduate?

A: My post-graduation plans are to move back home to Minnesota to work at a creative agency. I’m excited to take everything I learned in my marketing and graphic design programs and apply it in a professional creative environment.

Q: What advice would you give a first-year incoming student?

A: My advice to an incoming first-year student is to discover what truly matters to you. Whether it’s an organization, a club, a major, or a minor, there is a place where you will perfectly fit in. Along the way, you’ll meet people who share your values and genuinely understand you. Just keep exploring until you find your people.
