Drake University Law School earned an A- ranking for business law in prelaw Magazine, placing Drake among the top schools in the nation for this field.

The publication based the rankings on law schools’ curricular offerings in business law, including clinical programs, externships, partnerships, and courses. The results are reported in preLaw’s Fall 2025 issue.

The issue also highlighted Drake Law School’s newest AI Law Certificate program.

“The AI Law Certificate equips students to lead at the intersection of law and technology—whether in private practice, government, nonprofits, policy, or academia,” said Dean Roscoe Jones, Jr. “Artificial intelligence isn’t just transforming industries; it is reshaping governance, ethics, and the very structure of legal systems. At Drake Law, we train our students to navigate this complexity with confidence and to guide clients, institutions, and communities through the profound legal and ethical challenges AI creates.”
