The Principal Financial Group Center for Global Citizenship at Drake University will present “Letters from Iwo Jima” at the first screening of the spring semester’s International Film Series on Thursday, Feb. 3.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will start at 7 p.m. in Bulldog Theater in Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave. Drake Associate Professor of English Dina Smith will introduce the film.
“Letters from Iwo Jima” focuses on the battle of Iwo Jima between the United States and Imperial Japan during World War II, as told from the perspective of the Japanese soldiers.
