Drake University Law School earned an A+ ranking for human rights law in preLaw magazine, placing Drake among the top twelve law schools in the nation for this field.

The publication based the rankings on law schools’ offerings in human rights law, including clinical programs, certificates, externships, partnerships, and courses. The results are reported in preLaw’s Back to School 2025 issue

“As the professor who teaches the law school’s International Human Rights Law course, I was gratified to learn that Drake Law School has been given a grade of A+ and ranked among the best law schools in the nation for human rights law by National Jurist’s preLaw magazine,” said Drake Law Professor Hunter R. Clark. “My thanks to everyone who is involved with Drake’s international law programs. Nothing is more important than advancing compassion, respect for human dignity under the rule of law, and good global citizenship.”
