ITS is actively responding to a mystery shopping scam email that has been sent to Drake students, faculty, and staff over the last few days. This email has been designed to look like it’s coming from a drake.edu email address, so it does not show the [External Email] tag. The program is a scam and the personal information collected provides the scammer an opportunity to commit crimes including identity theft or financial fraud.
If you have received the email about a mystery shopping opportunity at CVS/Walmart, please delete it. If you signed up for the opportunity, please ignore any future emails you may receive.
ITS is currently working to remove this email from all campus email accounts.
