Students in the Drake University College of Business and Public Administration had the opportunity to learn from Drake alumni and professional managers about post-graduation career opportunities during Finance Career Night on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
Panelists for the first annual event included Rick Krause, BN’82, managing partner of Stonegate Capital Partners, LLC; Drake University Adjunct Instructor Jason Clevenger, GR’08, portfolio manager with U.S. Bank; Ann Eitrheim, BN’15, fixed income credit analyst at Principal Global Investors; and Rick Long, assistant professor of practice in finance.
Students also benefited from the graduates’ shared experiences in pursuing the CFA charter. The alumni shared how Drake’s finance curriculum complements and prepares them for CFA exams and for the profession.
“The annual Finance Career night is a testament to one way in which the finance department fulfills the CBPA’s mission to ‘…connect theory and practice by bringing the world into the classroom and the classroom into the world,’” said Associate Professor of Finance Inchul Suh.
