Public Lecture on Procrastination

Dr. Bilge Uzun Ozer will be giving a public lecture on ‘Antecedents and Consequences of Excuse-Making: Reviewing PROCRASTINATION in a cross-cultural context.’  Procrastination is a tendency to put off an action or decision.  Research suggests that procrastination is a significant problem especially among university students and can result in negative outcomes.

The presentation is scheduled for May 20 at 5:00 p.m. in Meredith Hall Room 235 on Drake University’s campus.  The presentation will focus on the prevalence of procrastination, various forms of procrastination, reasons for procrastination and consequences of procrastination in cross-cultural context.

Dr. Bilge Uzun Ozer was born and raised in Turkey.  She is currently an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Cumhuriyet University in Sivas Turkey.
