Recognize those windows? That’s right—it’s Goodwin-Kirk residence hall. This photo shows students participating in the third annual mud volleyball tournament that took place on April 22, 1990. The messy tradition involved filling the residence hall courtyard with mud for both students and faculty members to square off in grimy competition. The tradition took place during Drake Relays for 20 years, ending in 2007.
