Dolph Pulliam, former director of community outreach and development, retired on May 31 after 24 years of service to Drake University. Pulliam began his professional career at Drake in 1989, but the basketball legend, media pioneer, and Drake Neighborhood community ambassador made his mark on the University 20 years earlier when he graduated as one of the top athletes to ever don a Bulldogs jersey.

Pulliam took center stage on the court one last time to deliver remarks at commencement on May 19, held in the Knapp Center. He reflected on his extraordinary time at Drake and gave advice to the class of 2013.
