Phase 1 construction has begun on the extensive renovation of Cartwright Hall, the Law School’s primary classroom, office, and student activity venue. Construction is scheduled to be finished in time for courses to start Fall 2013. This spring break, the steel frame for the new atrium will be erected and work will be started on the new Commons.
On the Monday following graduation, the entire second floor of Cartwright Hall will be demolished to the exterior walls.
Over the summer two 90-seat classrooms, two 45-seat cluster classrooms, a 40-seat courtroom classroom, a 20-seat seminar room, a central gallery, and the Commons will be built. The entire project will be finished by the start of classes in August.
