Drake staff recognized for work in financial planning

Two staff members in the Office of Student Financial Planning recently received regional awards honoring their work in the financial planning field.

Kristi Fuller, assistant director of continuing student programs, was honored with the John C. Parker Distinguished Service Award from the Iowa Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (IASFAA). The award recognizes outstanding and prolonged achievement in support of IASFAA and the financial aid profession. It honors an individual member’s scope of accomplishment over a sustained period of time rather than recognizing excellence in a single event or project.

Brandi Stone-Miller, assistant director of new student programs, was a member of the conference program committee, which received the 2011-12 Committee of the Year award from the Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

“These awards are further proof of how dedicated our staff members are to their students and profession,” says Susan Ladd, director of financial aid. “We are very proud of their achievement and the positive reflection these honors have on Drake.”
