The Tanzanian Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Ezekiel Maige, said that what made the Kilimanjaro Bowl special was that the student athletes came to Tanzania to show the world that American football was not just about winning the game but about sportsmanship and service.

Wedel Among Three New Coaches At Drake

Drake University men's basketball head coach Mark Phelps announced three additions to his coaching staff. Brett Nelson, in his seventh season as a collegiate coach after an All-America career at Florida, joins the staff as assistant coach, while former Arizona State point guard Jamelle McMillan was named coordinator of basketball operations and former Drake guard Ryan Wedel was named graduate manager.

Duffy’s tale is not your ordinary dog story

Drake alumnus Gary Porter and his wife, Melissa, have teamed up to write and market a book titled "Duffy The Tale of a Terrier." The subject matter, inspired by the Porter's late pet, is a departure from the accounting textbooks Gary, a retired professor of accounting, began writing.
