School of Education Hires Two New Staff Members

The School of Education has warmly welcomes two new employees this year:  Alicia Edwards and Molly Shepard-Robinson.

Alicia is our new Coordinator of Field Placement and will be working with the schools and our students to administer and coordinate experiential and supervised field experiences for the SOE departments.

Alicia earned her degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State and has taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Topeka, KS and Ankeny, IA.   On a personal note, she and her husband have three children- a son who is a junior at Iowa State, a daughter who is a senior at Ankeny High School, and a son who is a freshman in Ankeny.  In her free time, Alicia enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending her children’s activities, traveling and cheering on the Cyclones (and Bulldogs).

Molly has come aboard as our Data Manager.  She will be handling the ever increasing requirements for compiling data, reporting and data mining of information as needed for the SOE.

Born and raised in Iowa, Molly attended Central College in Pella where she obtained a BA degree with a dual major in International Management and French.  She earned an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago.  Molly has worked in supply chain management for much of her career and has spent the last five years as a project management consultant.    Currently, she lives in Beaverdale with her husband and two children, a 10-year old daughter and a 7-year old son.  Molly enjoys exercise – swimming, biking and running, but also likes gardening, scrapbooking and spending time with her children.
